The 20/25 was a car built by Rolls-Royce 1929-1936. It was originally designed to be driven by the owners, but many specimens were later driven by chauffeur. The 20/25 represents the evolution of the Twenty: it increased the displacement and was mounted with a synchronized gearbox for the third and fourth gear. Special features implemented in this aristocratic car are the famous radiator with a triangular top and vertical strips noted for the presence of the characteristic statue nicknamed "Spirit of Ecstasy”, which is probably inspired by the Hellenistic goddess Victory (Nike); a female figure bent forward, arms stretched backwards and upwards, robes inflated by the wind causing the arms to look like wings. In motoring history it was customary, especially among the more affluent, to adorn the radiator cap with a mascot as a sign of superstition. The heaviness of the body made for a loss of performance despite the increase in power compared to the previous version.
